We started out with a trip to Island City to put flowers on my dad's grave.
Sunday we went to Mike's parents to visit with some friends that live by Mt. Hood. We don't get to see them very often.
Monday we went on a morning bike ride. We had been trying to do the bike ride all weekend but this was the first time it wasn't raining when we could go. We were needing to use the GPS to see how long the trail was. The boys and I had ran/walked it a couple days earlier and I was curious to see how long it was.
When we got back from the bike ride I decided to mow the lawn before it rained. Mike took the training wheels off of Weston's bike. I knew he was ready but was scared of what might happen if he crashed. He took right off and loved it. No crashes.
Then I planted my garden spaces. Mike had put some plastic up on Saturday and I had moved my plants outside to aclimate to the weather. I haven't bought any plants this year except a couple hanging pots that we get every year for the front porch. I don't know how my plants will do but I guess I haven't lost anything if I end up buying some. I planted a cucumber and about 30 greenbeans in one corner and in the other I planted 4 pepper plants that I had started inside along with 2 tomotoes that I will thin to one since we don't really want very many. I just have to see how well they do. I also planted some carrots on that side.
We all had naps and then bbq'd hambugers for dinner. Mike was called in to dispatch so he had to go to work after dinner. It was a good weekend relaxing with the family.
