Mason Waiting for the opening ceremony to start. He got to go on the field with the rest of the team.
The team did a great job, they looked like they knew what they were doing. I was very proud. The sponsor of our team came over and talked to the kids and let them pick out something from the concession stand when the game was over. I thought that was really nice of him.
Weston and his cousin Camber waiting for the ceremony to start
One hour is definitely the limit of these kids. At the beginning of the game when I would tell them to run home they would be like "my house". At the end they were asking when they got to go to their "real home". I thought it was very funny. I think the best part for them was the treats at the end. I was constantly telling them where they needed to run or to pay attention in the field that my mouth was so dry by the end of the game. It was a lot of fun though and I am glad Mike and I decided to coach. Mike is more the silent partner and likes to be seen and not heard so I had to make up for him. I worry about what kind of parent I would be sitting on the sidelines.

After our game our nephew had a game so we stuck around for that and then I had to work in the concession stand for a couple of hours. It was the only time our team has to volunteer so that wasn't so bad. It turned out to be a long day at the field but that's OK.
While I was working in the concession stand Mike and the boys went to his grandparents house to color Easter eggs. I think they had a lot of fun. We colored eggs when my mom was here so I am a little tired of hard boiled eggs but who can have Easter without coloring eggs so I now have another dozen to eat. I am the only one that will eat them. I may have to persuade the boys to give them a try.
Coloring eggs
Easter day was fairly low key compared to some years. Our church times kind of conflicted with when the rest of the family could meet at Mike's grandparents house so we missed most of that. Mike had to give a lesson and Weston had a talk in Primary so we felt like we needed to stay.
Even though we didn't get to see the whole family the real meaning of Easter was still understood and we are so grateful for our Savior and for the resurrection and that we will all be resurrected. That really means a lot when you have family that has passed away and you know that you will see them again someday.
Happy Easter!!
