Weston turned 5 this year. It is really hard to believe he can be that old already. He is so excited about learning and can't wait to start kindergarten next year. He definetly has a sweet spirit and likes to make everyone happy. I can be getting frustrated with things and he will out of the blue tell me that he likes my hair or tell me that I look pretty. It just makes my day.
Mason turned 3. He is full of spunk. He is the rowdy one of the two. He will even introduce himself sometimes as Rowdy instead of Mason. That is what Mike's dad has always called him and he has lived up to it. He likes to be in the middle of whatever is going on and wants to do everything Weston does. Just when I am at my witts end with him he will smile at me and show me that he has a sweet side too. We did finally get him potty trained but it had to be his idea not mine. Once he decided then it was as good as done.
This year Weston got to have a friend birthday party. He was so excited. He wanted to go bowling, 11 kids at the bowling alley was a bit much though. Thankfully we had some good help with Mike's parents and brother. I could never have held my sanity without them. After bowling we came back to our house and had cupcakes and icecream.
I feel bad because I am always making cakes for other people and when it comes to my own family they kind of get shafted. I had another birthday cake to make that day so Weston got cupcakes. Don't start feeling bad for him though because when it was Mason's birthday I made one for the two of them.
On Mason's birthday we had the usual family party. He was so excited that it was finally his day.
Both he and Weston are really into Spiderman right now. That is the cake that they requested. So instead of making the cake twice I just waited and make it once for both of them. They loved it.
