Sandbox

A couple of weeks ago we finally got the sandbox done in the backyard. The boys love it. They haven't had a lot to time to play in it though, since we got it done the weather has turned cold and rainy. At least there is less mud for the dog to track inside.

The boys really wanted to help us dig out the dirt.



We used the dirt we dug out for the vegetable gardens, it was enough for the smaller one and a little bit for the bigger one. We ended up having a lot of sand left over so the bigger one has a mix of sand and dirt. We had to buy some top soil for that one too. It will be an experiment to see which one does better.

This is the final product. We spread some extra sand anywhere that was mostly dirt and spread some grass seed in hopes that most of it will end up grass. If not at least it isn't mud.
