We have been planning on making a swing set for the boys for a while now. This weekend ended up being the only one free. So for the 4th of July we built a wooden swing set in our backyard. It's not completely done yet but we ran out of screws so we couldn't get the railing done. I will feel much better about it once that is done. They both are having a blast. It hasn't been without it cuts and bruies though.
After we thought we were done Weston was ready for the first ride down the slide. He climbed to the top and looked down. He looked nervous and said it was too scary. Both Mike and I said it would be fine and he wouldn't get hurt. So he trusted us and went down.
To my suprise he ended up landing on his face. I felt horrible. It appears it was too steep and needed some adjustments.
We built a lower platform for the slide. It took a lot of coaching and a couple trial runs by his little brother to get Weston to go down again.
We will post more pictures when it is all finished.
