Anyway the rest of the family has been busy with other things while I have been watching the games. Weston has finally caught on to what Halloween is all about. Candy. He was so excited to go trick or treating downtown. Mason still hasn't gotten into the spirit yet. Mason rode on Mike's dad's wheelchair most of the time so he missed out on some of the fun but he still came home with plenty of candy. The last couple of blocks he got down and walked and I think he realized what he had been missing out on.
This year Mike and I were too busy and tired to carve pumkins so we just let the boys paint them instead. They had fun but I think next year we will go back to carving. Even though it is messy it is fun to see them lit up on the porch.

Weston had fun with the pile of leaves Mike made in the front yard. He was really disappointed when the day that Mike made the pile, I made him go take a nap and while he was asleep a big storm blew in and it started to rain. He had to wait until the next day to jump in it. Even then it was pretty cold but how could I say no again. Mason didn't like the leaves as much. He had fun until Mike put him in the pile and then he wasn't so sure about it.

The cousins after trick or treating downtown
Every year Mike's family goes elk hunting in the same spot. Since they have been doing it for 30 plus years they have perfected the camping site. They all bring their trailers up and put plastic around them. It already has a roof so they put a couple of wood stoves, one at each end and they stay warm and dry. It is quit the set up.
The downtown trick or treating was on friday. Saturday we spent the day at Elkcamp so the boys got in their costumes that evening and trick or treated the campers, then we headed home because I had a game to watch. I am a slave to the yankees when they are on tv.
